Smoke – An ImmortalAnex OneShot

“Aleks, are you out here?” Kevin asks into the night’s air, opening the doors to the small balcony. He peeks through the gap he had created, to see the Russian leaning against the rails, hunched over.

“Aleks?” he asks again, as he begins to move over to said boy. Aleks turns his head this time, with half a cigarette placed at his lips. His eyes shift up towards Kevin, before turning back towards the view ahead.

Kevin smiles before he walks towards the smaller man, wrapping his arms around him, and placing his head on the Russian's shoulder. “So this is where you come and hide when you say you’ll be right back. Why did you never tell me you smoked?” Kevin enquires, nuzzling closer to Aleks while doing so.

Aleks takes the cigarette from his mouth and slowly blows the smoke into the air, careful to keep it away from the man on his shoulder. As he flicks the ashes over the balcony, he replies “It’s not something that you’d want to brag about. I didn’t see any difference in you knowing or not.”

A hum of acknowledgement is heard before silence. Kevin stays where he is, watching the smoke leave his boyfriend’s mouth, until the cigarette is down to the filter. Aleks stumps out the final few flares, then leans over to put it in a jar. He turns around in the others hold so his back is against the railings.

“At least I understand now why you always taste of overpowering mint.” Kevin beams down at the Russian. Aleks scoffs.

“It's better than kissing a stale old man” he mumbles. Kevin continues to smile as he lifts Aleks’ chin up and captures his lips in a kiss. Aleks responds immediately, grabbing Kevin’s shirt and deepening the kiss, asking for entrance into the man’s mouth.

Kevin allows him, and the change in taste is noticeable instantly. As they pull away, Aleks has a faint glow in his cheeks.

“You’re right, it does taste stale, but it’s you so I love it.” Kevin chimes. The blush increases.
